Hello, this is Matsushita writing. Now I'm working very busy everyday preparing for the「Microsoft Presents "Orchestral Pieces from LOST ODYSSEY & BLUE DRAGON"」 the concert hold on Nov.19 2007 at Bunkamura Orchard Hall.
Same as the concert "VOICES music from Final Fantasy" which was held 2years ago, I feel a pressure which is different from another works like CD product. On the other hand, I also feel a sense of accomplishment after the concert. Actually, it is a special moment that all the performers, all the staffs from Micorosoft and Mistwalker are working hard together for the several hours of concert. And the reason why we can work hard is that we all want to see the scene of audience's jubilation who give us so much of their valuable time. I'll work with all my might!

By the way, while working in those pressure moment, I have a relaxing moment one time a week. You want to know what it is? It is a TV program. I'm sorry that it's quite a normal answer. There is a channel called "Tokyo MX" which we can watch only in the Kanto Area at 11AM. The program is "Danshi, Chinpei no Iitai-Hodai". "Tatekawa Danshi"the eternal heretic of Rakugo, and the "Nozue Chinpei" who was the ex-Diet member and also the person who named "Mino-monta" are talking about what ever they feel. It is very precious time for me to see those two person on NHK or the other private TV stations. And we also can listen to their deep knowledge which we can't hear in the usual variety program. They teach us a good lesson.

I like "Comedy" as same as "Music", so the program with two commedian who shaped the Japanese comedy history raise my spirit and make me think that I also want to be like them even at 70 years old.

Please watch it if you have time. It is rare to get a chance to listen to Danshi's Rakugo on TV. However, he's not doing Rakugo everytime.

From the name of our company, I think you already know that the"Dog Ear Record"is a record label company. We are going to announce officialy about our 1st released CD very soon, so please wait for a moment.
I don't have an adventure spirit like releasing our 1st work by an analog record even if the title of this entry is "Analog record". But I was born in 1967, and my generations are the last personificator of the "Analog record listeners". I remember "compact disk" has spread when I was a teenager,so I'm also the one who experienced the passage of "Analog media - Compact disk - Network music". Of course, there are many young people whom experienced the same movement, but averagely, it's close to my generations. Incidentally, the "analog record boom" which happened in Japan at 90's will not be raised. As for that, it's in so-called "Onko-chishin", which means "discovery of new things by studying the past phenomenon, the discovery of new things by studying the past music", and its representative music is "HIP HOP". By the way, I love HIP HOP and I still want to become a MC(rapper).

My friend Hitoshi Sakimoto, and Kenji Ito are the same generation as me, and "Yellow Magic Orchestra(YMO)" the music which all our generation had listened is still an very important music. On the first half of my teenage, I listened to YMO even if the record had been rustled and damaged. But it was a good textbookish music for the age of listening to music consciously.

I have talked about the"Analog age" with Uematsu-san many times, and I felt that our "Analog age generation" has a common consciousness of listening to music. Though, Uematsu-san is the real analog generation, so he has more high consciousness of music, different from the person like me whom experienced scratching records.

The "Analog record mind" which I(the last Analog personificator) listened to the same record every day is the way of thinking which I don't want to lose forever, even if it's private time or a working time, even if the media changes. But with ipod in my hand.

松下です、こんにちは。
夜見てる方は、こんばんは。

ドッグイヤー・レコーズは名前でもお分かりかと思いますが、レコード会社であります。間もなく、ドッグイヤー・レーベルからの第1弾リリース作品の正式発表を致しますので、もう少々お待ち頂ければと思います。

その第1弾を今回のブログ・タイトル「アナログ・レコード」のみでリリースする、なんて冒険心はサラサラないワケですが、僕は1967年生まれなので、「アナログ・レコード」最後の体現者とも呼べる世代に属するんですね。コンパクト・ディスクが一般に普及し始めたのが、僕が10代後半の頃だったと記憶してますんで、アナログ時代~コンパクト・ディスク時代~配信時代と、音楽を意識を持って聴き始めてから、それぞれの時代を経験した最後の世代であると思われます。もちろん、もっと若い世代の人でもそういった人もいらっしゃると思いますが、平均的に僕ぐらいの世代なのではないかと。
尚、90年代に日本で起きた「アナログレコード・ブーム」ってのは、今回の話の流れとは別の次元で起こった現象ですので、対象外です。あれはいわゆる温故知新現象で、温故知新音楽の最たる音楽がHIP HOPです。ちなみに僕は、いまだにラッパーになることを夢見ているほど、HIP HOPが好きです。

スクウェア時代に一緒だった、永遠の悪友である崎元仁氏や、伊藤賢治氏は僕と同じ世代で、同じ時代を過ごして来た人が通過する「イエロー・マジック・オーケストラ」は僕たち世代にとっていまだに捨て置けない存在だったりするわけですが、そのYMOのアルバムをアナログ・レコードで、それこそ擦り切れるまで聴いた時期が10代前半でした。音楽を意識して聴き始める年代には、とても良い教科書であった気がします。

植松さんとアナログ時代の音楽の話をすることが良くあるのですけど、
アナログ時代経験者は、音楽を聴く上での共通の心構えがあるように思います。もっとも植松さんはアナログ時代の真の体現者であるので、スクラッチと称してレコードを任意に擦った経験のある不届きな僕などは、植松さんに比べて音楽に対する心構えは非常にヌルいですけども。

アナログ最後の体現者として、同じレコードを毎日聴きまくったあの時の感覚、「アナログレコード・マインド」は、仕事でもプライベートでも、メディアが時代とともに変わろうとも、忘れずにおきたいなと、iPodを片手に思う今日この頃です。
