長女が15歳になりました。
穏やかで優しく、控えめな中にも悪いものには群れずに、一人ぼっちの子に寄り添える優しさと強さを持った子に育ってくれている事、シアトルでの７年間、素晴らしい友達を作って成長してくれた事に感謝しています(*^^*)
長女は国指定の難病を持って生まれました。
生後すぐに大きな手術をし、退院の日に「この病気は15年間異常なしで初めて完治といえます」と言われました。
小さい頃はすぐに倒れてしまったり、心配もしましたが、毎回の検査も泣かずに文句も言わずに頑張る姿に感心するばかりでした。
ついに今月、僕達の目標であった15歳を無事に迎える事ができました。
今では病気だったとは思えないほど健康で元気な子に、そして痛みを知る分、相手の立場に立って考えられる思いやりのある子に育ってくれました。
娘には本当にありがとうという気持ちでいっぱいです。
又、娘の健康を守る為に必死で頑張ってきた嫁さんにも、先生方にも感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

娘の存在が病気の子達や闘病を支えるご家族の希望となるよう、娘のように病気だった子達が元気に完治するよう、心から願っています。

My oldest daughter has turned 15. I’m so proud of her as she has an incredibly kind and warm heart and makes everyone feel included. She was born with a very bad sickness.
Right after she was born she underwent a very big surgery where the doctors told us she would be fully recovered if there are no side effects for 15 years, and she is finally 15!
There have been many worries these past 15 years, but she’s grown up so well with great health and no traces of sickness.
I’m so grateful and proud of my daughter and hope that she can be a glimmer of hope to kids fighting illnesses and their families.
More importantly, I hope that these children’s illnesses will cure soon.
